2008 Intersynodal Conference

The 2008 Intersynodal Conference was held April 10-12 at New Philadelphia Moravian Church.  Representing our congregation were Terri Cheek, Kelly Emerson, Gary Stilley, Debbie Jackman, and Pastor John Jackman.

Speaker for the conference was Luther Snow, a community organizer who spoke about the concept of "asset mapping."  This idea encourages groups and ministries to carefully review their positive strengths (ratehr than focusing on their needs) and partner with other groups and individuals to ccomplish goals that are beyond the capability of any individual church or organization.

The conference was an excellent time of fellowship. worship, and visioning together.
