Sanctuary Renovations Underway!

The Trinity Sanctuary renovation is underway!  Whitney Flooring has completed the removal and replacement of the historic pews, removed the ageing carpet, sanded and refinished the century-old heart pine floors.

The result is a warm, character-filled floor that enhances the acoustics of the sanctuary dramatically.  Carpet runners have been installed in the aisles between the pews, specially selected by the to echo the color of the pew upholstery.  The podium area has been expanded slightly and recarpeted in the same color.

The next phase is the replacement of the old sound system with a new and more reliable system tuned for the acoustics of the room.  The addition of special speakers under the balcony will eliminate the acoustic "dead zone" there.  An assisted hearing system will be added to help the hard-of-hearing.

Special thanks to those who volunteered to serve on the Sanctuary Renovation Task Force, and to the Women's Fellowship, who underwrote a lot of the cost with their chicken pies!
