It\u2019s been SIX MONTHS since we have seen each other!\u00a0 We are glad to be able to hold a LOGOS REUNION<\/strong> this Wednesday, September 16, from 5:30 pm \u2013 7:00 pm.\u00a0 Since we will be observing all safety precautions, this won\u2019t be like \u201cregular\u201d LOGOS.\u00a0 Masks are REQUIRED<\/u>, and must be worn properly.\u00a0 We will maintain social distancing.\u00a0 Instead of family-style supper, we will have individual box lunches with a juice box \u2013 each child will pick up their own supper.\u00a0 We will eat in LOGOS groups in a large circle, with 6 feet between each person.\u00a0 Obviously, masks must be removed to eat, but then must be worn immediately after the child is finished eating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obviously, we will not be able to do some of the normal\nLOGOS activities \u2013 the Zinzendorfers will not be able to do any puppetry, for\nexample.  However, we will still have\nsome Bible study, crafts, and safe games. The main point is to have a reunion,\nto see one another and catch up on what has been going on in everyone\u2019s\nlife.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because of the 50 person limitation, we must request that\nonly current or recently graduated LOGOS members attend. Usually we love to\nhave guests and news friends, but in this case a couple of extra people would\npush us over the limit.  We are inviting\nrecent grads if they are in town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since NC is now in Phase 2.5, we are allowed to assemble up to 50 people for an outdoors event.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Current research indicates that meeting outdoors is significantly safer than meeting indoors \u2013 COVID-19 is transmitted primarily through aerosol and droplets that we emit when we breathe.\u00a0 \u00a0Outdoors, the unlimited quantity of air and circulation through breezes means that aerosols are dispersed and diluted quickly \u2013 unlike indoors, where the aerosols hang in the air and become concentrated.\u00a0 Masks have been proven to significantly reduce the dispersion of aerosols when we exhale, and social distancing keeps a large quantity of air around each person.\u00a0 All items used will be disinfected cleaned; bathrooms on the second floor CE building will be cleaned and available for use by one person at a time.\u00a0 Water fountains are not in use \u2013 we will have individual water bottles available. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The safety and health of the children – and our LOGOS teachers – is our primary concern, and we will be doing everything we can to make sure everyone is safe. Please do not allow your child to attend if they are running a fever or displaying other symptoms – or if you have visited a “hot spot” for transmission in the last 14 days.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
